MARKING the centenary of the foundation of the Bible Reading Fellowship (Feature, 2 September), The BRF Book of 100 Prayers: Resourcing your spiritual journey is a small hardback with ribbon marker by Martyn Payne, the Fellowship’s prayer advocate. He selected his material from prayers posted or published by BRF during “those Covid months whose long shadow is still with us”. To each prayer are appended comments by BRF writers, and the prayers are arranged under the broad headings Approaching God; Prayers for the Journey; Seasons of the Christian Year; Together Through the Generations; and How Should We Live? The book begins with a centenary prayer, and includes some additional material about the founder, and about prayer and the BRF; and there is an index of Bible references (BRF, £12.99 (£11.69); 978-1-80039-147-5).
IVP has published a series of “30-Day Devotionals”, small paperbacks edited by Elizabeth McQuoid, with contributions from figures associated with the Keswick Convention, including Don Carson, Ray Ortlund, and Jonathan Lamb, Rico Tice, Vaughan Roberts, John Stott, and Donald English. The Titles are Hope (£4.99 (£4.49); 978-1-78974-194-0); Holiness ((£5.99 (£5.39); 978-1-78974-196-4); and Love ((£5.99 (£5.39); 978-1-78974-198-8).
