CAVE-BROWNE-CAVE. — On 17 April, the Revd Bernard James William Cave-Browne-Cave: Chaplain of Lancaster University (1983-95); Chaplain of HM Prison Service (1995-2014); Canon and Prebendary of Salisbury Cathedral since 2015; Chaplain to Wiltshire Police since 2017; Salisbury Diocesan Inter-Faith Adviser since 2018; aged 67.

DAVIE. — On 19 April, the Revd Dr Peter Edward Sidney Davie: Curate-in-Charge of St Alban’s, Godshill (1963-67); Rector of Upton St Leonards (1967-73); Senior Lecturer of Canterbury Christ Church College (1973-98); Hon. Assistant Curate of St Peter with St Alphege and St Mildred and St Margaret with St Mary de Castro, Canterbury (1979-2010); Principal Lecturer of Canterbury Christ Church College (1998-2001); aged 86.

ENGEL. — On 9 March, the Revd Jeffrey Davis Engel: Assistant Curate of Prescot (1992-94); Liverpool Diocesan Adviser for Pastoral Care and Counselling (1994-2003); Priest-in-Charge of St Mary’s, Hale (1994-2003); Chaplain to the Mothers’ Union since 2005; aged 83.

SOUTER. — On 20 April, the Revd Jean Margaret Souter: Deacon of St James’s, Aberdeen (2019-21); St Kentigern’s, Ballater, since 2021; St Thomas’s, Aboyne, since 2021; aged 68.
