Canon of Liverpool Cathedral (1988-2000); Area Dean of Sefton (1989-2000); Diocesan Director of Reader Studies (1989-2000); Deacon-in-Charge of Hightown (1992-94); Priest-in-Charge (1994-2000); aged 88.

ENOCH. — On 26 April, the Revd William Frederick Palmer Enoch: NS Assistant Curate of St Mary the Virgin, Ilkeston (1979-85); Priest-in-Charge of Holy Trinity, Ilkeston (1985-95); aged 91.

GATES. — On 13 April, the Revd Frances Gates: NS Assistant Curate of St Mary’s, and St George’s, Portsea, and of All Saints’, Portsea (2004-11); aged 77.

SMITH. On 1 May, the Revd David William Smith: Rector of St Peter’s, Galashiels (1977-85); St Mary Magdalene’s, Yarm (1985-2000); Team Rector in the Whitby with Ruswarp Team Ministry (2000-15); Priest-in-Charge of Fylingdales and Hawsker cum Stainsacre (2003-05); Canon and Prebendary of York Minster (2005-15); aged 76.
