Stained glass, 1930, by A. E. Lemmon, on the subject of the Te Deum, in the east window of St Peter’s, Greets Green, West Bromwich, includes a workman and the Vicar (1925-61), Fr L. J. Lamplugh, among the figures. This is one of 137 colour photos, mostly by James O. Davies, in addition to 56 black-and-white illustrations, in The Buildings of England: Birmingham and the Black Country by Andy Foster, Nikolaus Pevsner, and Alexandra Wedgwood, in the authoritative revised Pevsner Architectural Guides series (Yale, £45 (£40.50); 978-0-300-22391-0)
