TELEVISION: Friday 9pm (ITV) Grantchester Leonard and Daniel reassess their relationship (4/8).

Saturday 12.20pm (BBC2) Black Narcissus Anglican nuns in the classic 1947 film of Rumer Godden’s story, starring Deborah Kerr.

Monday 7.30pm (BBC2) Mastermind One of the specialist subjects is the history of Canterbury.

Thursday 9pm (BBC2) Don’t Exclude Me The number of permanent exclusions from school are high. A behavioural expert, Marie Gentles, works with challenging pupils to keep them in school (1/2).

 

RADIO: Sunday 8.10am (R4) Sunday Worship Harvest Festival, live, from Holy Trinity, Westbury on Trym, Bristol.

10.30am (World Service) Heart and Soul Professor Jordan Smith travels to the Ise Jingu Shinto shrine, in Japan.

3pm (R3) Choral Evensong A repeat of this week’s service from St Mary’s Collegiate Church, Warwick.

Monday 4.30pm (R4) Beyond Belief Ernie Rea and guests explore Ignatian spirituality (7/8).

Tuesday 4pm (R4) The Hidden History of the Window Featured is a stained-glass window the size of a tennis court, at Gloucester Cathedral.

Wednesday 9.30am (R4) Four Thought Eva Hnizdo reflects on her Czech Jewish family’s experience of the Holocaust.

4pm (R3) Choral Evensong From Worcester Cathedral on the feast of St Michael and All Angels, recorded on 27 July.
