POLKINGHORNE. — On 9 March, the Revd Dr John Charlton Polkinghorne: Vicar of Blean (1984-86); Dean of Trinity Hall, Cambridge (1986-89); President of Queens’ College, Cambridge (1989-96); Canon Theologian of Liverpool Cathedral since 1994; Six Preacher of Canterbury Cathedral (1996-2000); aged 90.

SHILL. — On 11 March, the Revd Kenneth Leslie Shill: Vicar of St John the Evangelist, Mansfield (1983-93); Bishop of Southwell’s Adviser on Healing (1989-93); Chaplain in Amsterdam with Heiloo (1993-95); Team Rector in the Twerton-on-Avon Team Ministry, Bath (1995-2004); Vicar of Arnold (2004-15); Team Vicar in the South Cheltenham Team Ministry since 2015; aged 71.

WARD. — On 11 March, the Revd Michael Reginald Ward: Midlands and East Anglia Area Secretary of the Commonwealth and Continental Church Society (1961-66); Vicar of St John the Evangelist, Chelsea (1966-73); Priest-in-Charge of St Andrew’s, Chelsea (1972-73); Vicar of St John the Evangelist with St Andrew’s, Chelsea (1973-76); Priest-in-Charge of Hawkesbury with Hawkesbury Upton (1976-80); Hillesley, Alderley and Tresham (1979-80); Bibury with Winson and Barnsley (1980-85); Vicar of Barkby and Queniborough (1985-90); Rector of Gunthorpe with Bale with Field Dalling, Saxlingham and Sharrington (1990-98); aged 89.
