Church Times Train-a-Priest (TAP) Fund for Africa: one more week to give

by
14 May 2021

THIS week’s total for the Church Times Train-a-Priest (TAP) Fund for Africa has reached £37,433.75 — tantalisingly close to last year’s final amount of just over £38,000.

A reminder that our 2021 appeal ends at Pentecost; so there’s only one more week in which to add to this year’s total. (Any donations received after that will be added to next year’s total.)

We long to be able to pass on a greater sum than last year to our partners, CAPA, the Council of Anglican Provinces of Africa, to be disbursed to ordinands across the continent. We need not repeat the need for funds in Churches that are infinitely poorer than in the UK. Please consider a donation, secure in the knowledge that every penny given will go directly to the next generation of priests in a continent that has great need of them.

How to donate to the TAP Fund

We encourage you to donate online, quickly and securely. This is our preferred method: www.churchtimes.co.uk/train-a-priest-fund.

We will, however, accept donations of any shape and size. Please make cheques payable to “The TAP Fund” and send to: TAP Fund, Church Times, Hymns Ancient & Modern, 13a Hellesdon Road, Norwich NR6 5DR.

If you are a UK payer of income or capital gains tax, the Church Times, through the Hymns Ancient & Modern charity, can recover 25p for every £1 that you give through Gift Aid. If you are eligible, please indicate this when making an online donation, or complete the form in last week’s paper and send it with your cheque.
