Holy Week in Art: Palm Sunday

by
28 March 2021

Part 1: Pray that you may not come into the time of trial

The first of our reflections for Holy Week by the Revd Professor Sarah Foot, Regius Professor of Ecclesiastical History at the University of Oxford. Each reflection is based on a painting in the collection of Christ Church, Oxford.

In this reflection for Palm Sunday we focus on The Agony in the Garden, an anonymous work from the Greco-Venetian School of the early 16th century.
