LAMBETH PALACE Library has released a new collection of more than 1500 images from the Church Information Office archives.

The images were selected by the archivist Krzysztof Adamiec from a group of more than 9000 black and white photographs uncovered in the Church of England Record Centre in 2013.

The photographs were taken in the 1960s by W. R. Hawes, who was granted exclusive access to events at Westminster Abbey and elsewhere. It can be accessed here.
