ANSELM SSF. — On 30 December, Brother Anselm SSF (the Revd Robert Andrew Laine Smyth): Member of the Society of St Francis since 1953; Minister Provincial of the European Province (1979-91); Priest-in-Charge of St Benedict’s, Cambridge (1992-93); Vicar (1993-2000); aged 89.

CAMPBELL. — On 10 January, the Revd Patrick Alistair Campbell: Vicar of St John’s, Egremont, Wallasey (1973-78); Bredbury (1978-85); Rector Astbury and Smallwood (1985-91); Wybunbury with Doddington (1991-97); Warden of the College of St Barnabas, Linfield (2001-07); aged 83.

DARWENT. — On 15 January, the Rt Revd Frederick Charles Darwent: Curate-in-Charge of St Francis’s, Kitt Green (1964-65); Rector of All Saints’, Strichen (1965-71); New Pitsligo (1965-78): Fraserburgh (1971-78); Canon of St Andrew’s Cathedral, Aberdeen (1971-78); Dean of Aberdeen & Orkney (1973-78); Bishop of Aberdeen & Orkney (1978-92); aged 92.

DRUMMOND. — On 11 January, the Revd Josceline Maurice Vaughan Drummond: Vicar of Oulton (1962-68); St Catherine’s, Leyton (1971-85); General Director of the Church’s Ministry among Jewish People (1985-94); aged 90.

EADY. — On 4 January, the Revd David Robert Eady: NS Assistant Curate of Highnam, Lassington, Rudford, Tibberton and Tynton (1985-95); Stratton, North Cerney, Baunton and Bagendon (1995-99); Hon. Priest-in-Charge of Swindon ad Elmstone Hardwicke with Uckington (1999-2008); North Cheltenham Team Ministry (2008-10); aged 76.

GARNER. — On 10 January, the Revd Geoffrey Walter Garner: Vicar of Tile Hill (1976-80); Team Vicar in the Hackney Team Ministry (1980-89); Rector of Bow with Bromley (1989-2006); aged 79.

PACKER. — On 8 January, the Revd Roger Ernest John Packer: Rector of Sandhurst (1970-91); Vicar of Bridgwater and Chilton Trinity and Durleigh (1991-2000); Rural Dean of Bridgwater (1994-2000); Prebendary of Wells Cathedral (1996-2000); aged 82.

RENNARD. — On 30 December, the Revd Edward Lionel Rennard: Curate-in-Charge of St Matthew’s Conventional District, Fairfield, Great Grimsby (1982-86); Vicar of Fairfield (1986-88); Hykeham (1998-91); Team Rector in the Hykeham Team Ministry (1991-2000); Blyth Valley Team Ministry since 2000; aged 68.
