Irving Letto is seeking two former penpals in England of his mother, Elsie Letto, in Labrador, Canada. One is a Miss E. Birch, who, in 1952, sent two Bibles for Mr Letto, when he was seven, and his brother, and inscribed her name on the front flyleaf. The second is a Mrs Nutt (pictured). Mr Letto would be grateful to hear from any family member or friend of these ladies. He believes that they may have been readers of the Church Times. He can be contacted by email at irvingletto@gmail.com.
Nominations are sought for the 2020 Wilson Hinkes Peace Award, part of the Week of Prayer for World Peace. Submissions should be in the form of a letter and be sent to both Sue Gales and Sue Claydon by email to billandsuegale@blueyonder.co.uk and chair@anglicanpeacemaker.org.uk, phone 01354 654214.
