CANHAM. — On 28 July, the Revd John Graham Canham SSC: Assistant Chaplain of Ellesmere College (1964-66); Chaplain Choral of Chester Cathedral (1966-73); Chaplain and Assistant Master of Chester Cathedral Choir School (1966-73); Assistant Chaplain of Rossall School, Fleetwood (1973-76 and 1983-93); Chaplain (1976-83); Vicar of Minera (1993-2005); Bwlchgwyn and Minera (2005-08); Area Dean of Minera (2001-08); aged 86.

DODSWORTH. — On 18 July, the Revd George Brian Knowles Dodsworth: Assistant Chaplain of HM Prison Manchester (1967-68); Chaplain of HM Prison Eastchurch (1968-70); HM Prison Love Lane Wakefield (1970-74); HM Prison Wormwood Scrubs (1974-83); Assistant Chaplain General of Prisons (South-East) (1983-90); Assistant Chaplain General of Prisons (HQ) (1990-94); Chaplain of HM Prison Brixton (1994-95); aged 85.

SENIOR. — On 16 July, the Revd George Senior: NSM of Spratton (1986-90); Cottesbrooke with Great Creaton and Thornby (1986-90); Assistant Curate of St Peter’s, Darwen, with St Paul’s, Hoddlesden (1990-92); Vicar of Foulridge (1992-97); Priest-in-Charge of Swallow (1997-2002); aged 83.

SHOTTER. — On 3 July, the Very Revd Edward Frank Shotter: Inter- College Secretary of the SCM (London) (1962-66); Director of the London Medical Group (1966-89); Secretary of the Society for the Study of Medical Ethics and latterly Director of the Institute of Medical Ethics (1974-89); Chaplain for London University Medical Students (1969-89); Prebendary of St Paul’s Cathedral (1977-89); Dean of Rochester Cathedral (1989-2003); aged 86.

THOMAS. — On 14 July, the Revd Thomas John Samuel Thomas: RAF Chaplain (1951-77); Assistant Chaplain in Chief Near East Air Force (1970-71); Ministry of Defence (1971-77); Vicar of Horsham (1977-85); Hon. Chaplain to the Queen (1973-85); aged 97.
