New Dean for Bahrain

THE next Dean of St Christopher’s Cathedral, Manama, in Bahrain, in the diocese in Cyprus & the Gulf, is to be the Ven. Dr Bill Schwartz, Archdeacon in the Gulf since 2009, and Provincial Treasurer since 2007. Ordained deacon in Larnaca, Cyprus, in 1993, and priest in London the same year, Archdeacon Schwartz has served in the diocese in Cyprus & the Gulf since 2006. Before ordination, he held academic posts in Cyprus, and was Chairman of the House of Laity of the diocesan synod in Limassol and Assistant Diocesan Treasurer, as well as Nicosia Diocesan Secretary and Treasurer from 1986 to 1999. He is married, with four children.

ALDERSON. The Revd Gary Alderson, NS Assistant Curate (Assistant Priest) of All Saints’, Wellingborough, and of All Hallows’, Wellingborough, to be Assistant Curate (Assistant Priest) of Great with Little Harrowden and Orlingbury and Isham with Pytchley (Peterborough).

ARNOLD. The Revd Derek Arnold, Team Rector in the Appledore, Northam and Westward Ho! Team Ministry, and Priest-in-Charge of Abbotsham, to be also Rural Dean of Hartland (Exeter).

CARPENTER. The Revd David Carpenter, Vicar of Birkby, Huddersfield and Woodhouse, to be house-for-duty Lecturer of Halifax Minster (Leeds).

CHAPMAN. The Revd Andrew Chapman, Chaplain of RAF Cosford, to be Chaplain of RAF Cranwell (Air Chaplaincy Service).

CLARKE. The Revd Ann Clarke, formerly Assistant Curate of the Good Shepherd and St Peter’s, Lee, to be Chaplain to Goldsmiths, University of London (Southwark).

COLES. The Revd Alison Coles, Chaplaincy Team Leader of Walsall Hospitals NHS Trust, and Prebendary of Lichfield Cathedral, to be also Bishop’s Adviser on Healthcare Chaplaincy (Lichfield).

COLLISHAW. The Revd Ashley Collishaw, Pioneer Minister in Cheltenham Deanery, with responsibility for Cheltenham Network Church, to be Vicar of the Holy Apostles’, Charlton Kings, and Priest-in-Charge of St Michael’s, Cheltenham (Gloucester).

DEBNEY. The Revd Nicholas Debney, Team Vicar in the Newton Abbot Team Ministry, to be also Interim Priest-in-Charge of Bovey Tracey with Heathfield (Exeter).

JONES. The Revd Rhiannon Jones, Assistant Curate (Associate Rector) of St Mary’s, Bury (Manchester), has withdrawn acceptance of the post of Priest-in-Charge of Bro Lliedi Ministry Area (St Davids).
