BOWEN. — On 23 April, the Revd David John Bowen: Priest-in-Charge of Lugwardine with Bartestree and Weston Beggard (1993); Lugwardine with Bartestree, Weston Beggard and Dormington (1993-94); Vicar (1994-2010); Rural Dean of Hereford Rural (1999-2005); Priest-in-Charge of Withington with Westhide (2004-10); aged 72.

EVANS. — On 22 April, the Revd David Leslie Bowen Evans: Vicar of Bettws Evan with Bryngwyn (1960-64); Burry Port with Pwll (1964-76); Eglwys Dewi Sant, Cardiff (1976-86); Deputy Chaplain of HM Prison Cardiff (1976-86); Vicar of Llan-Llwch with Llangain and Llangynog (1986-95); Canon of St Davids Cathedral (1989-90); aged 90.

MAGEE. — On 24 April, the Revd Frederick Hugh Magee: in the US (1963-64); Chaplain of St Paul’s Cathedral, Dundee (1974-79); Priest-in-Charge of All Souls’, Invergowrie (1976-69); Rector of St Andrew’s, St Andrews (1979-83); St John the Evangelist, Forfar (1983-87); in the US (1987-2005); Dean of Wenatchee, Spokane, (1996-2003); Regional Missioner for the diocese of Spokane (1999-2002); Spokane Diocesan Communications Officer (2003-05); Hon. Canon of St Paul’s Cathedral, Dundee, since 2008; aged 85.

SIMPSON. — On 24 April, the Very Revd John Arthur Simpson: Tutor of Oak Hill Theological College (1962-72); Vicar of Ridge (1972-79); Priest-in-Charge (1979-81); St Albans Diocesan Director of Ordinands and Post-Ordination Training (1975-81); Hon. Canon of St Albans Cathedral (1977-79); Canon Residentiary (1979-81); Archdeacon of Canterbury and Canon Residentiary of Canterbury Cathedral (1981-86); Dean (1986-2000); aged 85.

YORKE. — On 19 April, the Very Revd Michael Leslie Yorke: Canon and Succentor of Chelmsford Cathedral (1968-69); Chaplain and Precentor (1969-73); Deputy Director of Research and Training of the Chemsford Cathedral Centre (1972-74); Curate-in-Charge of Ashdon with Hadstock (1974-76); Rector (1976-78); Canon Residentiary of Chelmsford Cathedral (1978-88); Vice-Provost (1984-88); Priest-in-Charge of St Edmund, St Margaret and St Nicholas, North Lynn (1988-92); St Margaret and St Edmund with St Nicholas, King’s Lynn (1992-94); Hon.
