Settle and District churches hold ‘eco’ workshops

CHURCHES TOGETHER IN SETTLE

THREE workshops for “eco explorers” were organised by Churches Together in Settle and District last month. They were led by the Green Church award-winner Judith Allinson (left, in picture) (News, 20 October 2017). The Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust, Stories in Stone, Heritage Lottery Fund, and Settle Rotary Club all helped with funding.

Fourteen families came over three days. “We put a lot of work into publicising the events,” Ms Allinson said. “We found that people came equally through word of mouth, through the primary school announcing it, through posters around town, and through publicity on Facebook.”

More workshops will be held next week. For information, visit the Churches Together website.
