BEWES. — On 10 May, the Revd Richard Thomas Bewes: Vicar of St Peter’s, Harold Wood, Hornchurch (1965-74); Emmanuel Church, Northwood (1974-83); Rector of All Souls with St Peter and St John, St Marylebone (1983-88); Priest-in-Charge of St Paul’s, Portman Square (1987-88); Rector of All Souls’, Langham Place (1988-2004); Prebendary of St Paul’s Cathedral (1988-2004); aged 84.

BISHOP. — On 1 May, the Revd David Henry Ryder Bishop: Chaplain in Jinja, Uganda (1964-67); Deputy Secretary of the Commonwealth and Continental Church Society (1968); Rector of St Clement’s, Oxford (1969-91); in Zimbabwe (1991-93); aged 91.

MORTON. On 7 May, the Revd Mark Paul Morton: Chaplain of Danetre Hospital (1993-94); Chaplain to the Forces (TA) (1993-95); Chaplain to the Forces (1995-2003); Senior Chaplain to the Forces (2003-11); Rector of Harting with Elsted and Treyford cum Didling since 2011; aged 60.

WATERS. — On 3 May, the Revd Jill Christine Waters: Deaconess of New Milverton (1982-86); Draycott-le-Moors with Forsbrook (1986-96); Parish Deacon (1987-94); Assistant Curate (1994-96); Priest-in-Charge of Mow Cop (1996-2010); aged 75.
