Jane di Marco writes:
A SERIOUS omission in the obituary of Canon Paul Lucas (Gazette, 11 January) was his passionate ecumenism. He was a significant leader in the formation of the Batheaston LEP and a treasured New Testament tutor for the Ecumenical Teaching Order, founded by Dorothy Daldy, which had a short but vigorous life in the Somerset area. Paul’s vision was far wider than Anglican Christianity.
Correction: the recollections of Canon Rodney Marshall in our 1 February issue were supplied by Jane Thomas, not Jane Williams as stated. We apologise for the error.
