CLASPER. — On 22 May, the Revd John Clasper: Assistant Curate of Hawksworth Wood, in charge of Moor Grange (1971-74); Industrial Chaplain in Durham diocese (1974-97); Assistant Curate of St Paul’s Jarrow (1975-55); Team Vicar in the Jarrow Team Ministry (1977-91); Durham Diocesan Urban Development Officer (1990-91); Team Rector in the East Darlington Team Ministry (1991-97); Vicar of Fenham (1997-2002); Rural Dean of Newcastle West (1998-2002); aged 78.

DAWES. — On 4 May, the Revd Julian Edward Dawes: RAF Chaplain (1962-65); Vicar of Overbury with Teddington Alstone and Washbourne (1965-70); Cropthorne with Charlton (1970-75); Chaplain of the Exe Vale Hospital Group (1976-84); Bromsgrove and Redditch District General Hospital (1984-86); aged 91.

FISHER. — On 20 May, the Revd Dr Humphrey John Fisher: NSM of Bryngwyn and Newchurch and Llanbedr Painscastle and Llanddewi Fach (1991-2006); aged 85.

HOLMES. — On 15 April, the Revd Frank Holmes, NSM of St George’s, Hyde (1978-81); Assistant Curate of St George’s, Poynton (1981-87); aged 96.

HUNT. — On 31 May, the Revd Alan Hunt: Assistant Curate of Standish (1967-72); Vicar of St Paul’s, Low Moor, Clitheroe (1972-76); aged 87.

WHITE. — On 4 June, the Revd Christopher Norman Hessler White: Chaplain to the Forces (Territorial Army) (1964-67); (Territorial Army Volunteer Reserve) (1967-85); Vicar of Aysgarth (1965-74); Rector of Richmond, Yorkshire (1974-76); Rural Dean of Richmond (1975-80); Curate-in-Charge of Hudswell (1976); Rector of Richmond with Hudswell (1976-97); Chaplain of St Francis Xavier School, Richmond (1989-97); Hon. Canon of Ripon Cathedral (1989-97); Rural Dean of Richmond (1993-97); aged 86.
