Archdeacon of Dorking

THE next Archdeacon of Dorking, in Guildford diocese, is to be the Revd Martin Breadmore, Director of Licensed Ministry for the Kensington Area in London diocese since 2010. He was ordained priest in 1994, and served his title in Canterbury diocese, before moving to Guildford diocese in 1997, where he served at St Paul’s, Camberley, and as chaplain to Elmhurst Ballet School, in Camberley. He then served in Southwark diocese for nine years. He succeeds the Ven. Paul Bryer, who is to be Archdeacon of Cornwall (Gazette, 26 April), and will be licensed in the late autumn.

BATTYE. The Revd Alison Battye, Assistant Curate of Whitkirk, to be Rector of Adel (Leeds).

CHEESMAN. The Revd Samuel Cheesman, Assistant Curate of Anchorsholme, to be Bishop’s Chaplain, and Assistant Curate of Salesbury (Blackburn).

CHEW. The Revd Philip Chew, Rector of Dyffryn Clwyd Mission Area, and Mission Area Leader (Area Dean) (St Asaph), to be Vicar of Ribby cum Wrea and Weeton St Michael (Blackburn).

COLEMAN. The Revd David Coleman, Rector of West Chiltington (Chichester), to be Vicar of Steeton (Leeds).

COUPLAND. The Revd Robert Coupland, Assistant Curate of St Michael and All Angels and St Paul, Brighton (Chichester), to be Sacrist of St Paul’s Cathedral (London).

FERGUSSON. The Revd Norma Fergusson, house-for-duty Assistant Curate (Associate Priest) of Shrivenham and Ashbury (Oxford), to be Vicar.

FORDYCE. The Revd Andrew Fordyce, Vicar of St Margaret with St Michael, Berechurch, to be Rector of the Tenpenny Villages Benefice (Chelmsford).

HESKINS. The Revd Rachel Heskins, Assistant Curate of Welton and Dunholme with Scothern, to be Vicar of St John the Baptist and St John the Evangelist, Lincoln (Lincoln).

KITCHEN. The Revd Ian Kitchen, Rector of Derwent Ings (York), to be Priest-in-Charge of the Fountains Group (Leeds).

ORAM. The Revd Stephen Oram, formerly Chaplain of University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust, now Hon. Assistant Curate of Alveston and Littleton-on-Severn with Elberton (Bristol).

OWEN. The Revd Myles Owen, formerly NS Assistant Curate of Cranleigh (Guildford), now Chaplain of Grey Coat Hospital School (London).

POGSON. The Revd Mark Pogson, Assistant Chaplain in Berne, to be Assistant Chaplain in Basel, Switzerland (Europe).

READING. The Revd Siân Reading, Vicar of Gretton with Rockingham and Cottingham with East Carlton (Peterborough), to be Rector of the Poppyland Benefice (Norwich).

ROOKWOOD. The Revd Elizabeth Rookwood, Assistant Curate of Morpeth, now Bishop’s Adviser in Pioneer Ministry (Newcastle).

WHITE. The Rt Revd Francis White, Hon. Assistant Bishop, to be also NS Interim Priest-in-Charge of the Most Holy and Undivided Trinity, Kingston Upon Hull (York).


JOB RETNASELVAM. The Revd Paul Singh Job Retnaselvam, formerly in India, to be Rector of All Saints’, Lockerbie, and of St John the Evangelist, Moffat (Glasgow).
