Archdeacon of Ipswich

THE next Archdeacon of Ipswich is to be the Revd Rhiannon King, the Director of Mission in Birmingham diocese since 2014. She will also lead the Inspiring Ipswich project that seeks to engage ten per cent of the population through church-led community activities, by 2024. Since joining Birmingham diocese in 2010 as Transforming Church Co-ordinator, Ms King has been involved in initiatives to help the diocese “grow younger”, to develop a Mission Apprentice scheme, and to help the diocese open new churches.

Ms King was ordained priest in 2001 and served in Ely diocese until 2010.

 

AECHTNER. The Revd Dr Rebecca Aechtner, Assistant Curate of St Mary with St John and St Anne, Lancaster, to be Vicar of Scotforth (Blackburn).

ALDERTON. The Revd Jill Alderton, NS Assistant Curate of Crawley Down, now NSM (Associate Vicar) in the South Crawley Team Ministry (Chichester).

BELL. The Revd Jonathan Bell, Assistant Curate of Stanton-By-Dale with Dale Abbey and Risley (Derby), to be Minister of Grace Church, Highlands (London).

CHORLTON. The Revd Christopher Chorlton, Assistnat Curate of Girlington, Heaton and Manningham (Leeds), to be Vicar.

CONNORS. The Revd Marie Connors, NS Assistant Curate of St Mary’s, Monkseaton, to be also Chaplain of the Northumberland Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust (Newcastle).

EVANS. The Revd Stanley Evans, Hon. Priest-in-Charge of Omey with Ballynakill, Errislannan and Roundstone, Canon of St Mary’s Cathedral, Tuam, and of St Patrick’s Cathedral, Killala (Tuam, Killala & Achonry), to be Chaplain of St Laurence’s, Puerto del Carmen, Lanzarote (Europe).

GRIEVE. The Revd Judith Grieve, formerly Vicar of Whorlton, and Chaplain of All Saints’ College Trust, now Diocesan Ecumencial Officer (Newcastle).

HAIGH. The Revd Samuel Haigh, Assistant Curate of Holy Trinity, Brompton, with St Paul’s, Onslow Square, and St Augustine’s, South Kensington (London), to be Vicar of St John and St George the Martyr with Christ the King Chapel, Preston (Blackburn).

HANDLEY. The Revd Dennis Handley, Vicar of Berwick, to be also Hon. Canon of Newcastle Cathedral (Newcastle).

HAYES. The Revd Sarah Hayes, NSM (Associate Vicar) of St Germain’s, Edgbaston (Birmingham), to be Vicar.

HITCHINER. The Revd Sally Hitchiner, Chaplain and Inter Faith Adviser to Brunel University, to be Assistant Curate (Associate Vicar for Ministry) of St Martin-in-the-Fields (London).

NEWELL. The Revd Peter Newell, NSM in the Ashford Town Team Ministry, now Priest-in-Charge of the Shepherds Lees Benefice (Canterbury).

PEARSON. The Revd Lindsay Pearson, Assistant Curate in the Wirksworth Team Ministry, to be Assistant Curate of St Augustine’s, Chesterfield (Derby).

PHILLIPSON-MASTERS. The Revd Susan Phillipson-Masters, formerly Priest-in-Charge of the Stanleys Benefice, and Chaplain of Wycliffe Preparatory School, to be Assistant Curate (Associate Priest) of Cromhall, Tortworth, Tytherington, Falfield and Rockhampton (Gloucester).

DREW-JONES. The Revd Ian Drew-Jones, Priest-in-Charge of Loughor, now Priest-in-Charge of Manselton and Cwmbwria, and Assistant Curate (Associate Priest) in the Penderi Ministry Area (Swansea & Brecon).

GREEN. The Revd Steven Green, Team Vicar of St Andrew’s, Garden City, in the Borderlands Mission Area, to be also Hon. Canon of St Asaph Cathedral (St Asaph).

TILTMAN. The Revd Katherine Tiltman, Vicar of Ruabon, and Mission Area Leader of the Offa, to be also Hon. Canon of St Asaph Cathedral (St Asaph).
