The 70273 Project reaches Rochester Cathedral

One of 24 embroidered quilts, and ten pelmets, on display in Rochester Cathedral until 12 March as part of an exhibition remembering the 70,273 people who were murdered by Nazis between 1940 and 1941 for being physically and mentally ill. More than 13,800 exhibits were collected from 100 countries for the exhibition, devised by the American writer Jeanne Hewell-Chambers. It was co-ordinated by Lucy Horner, of the Francis Iles Galleries, and the artist Wendy Daws, in Medway
