Postage-stamp size, this doesn’t tell you much; but, seen as a large two-page spread, it would reveal itself as a diagram (see above) about the “wisdom, initiative, and opportunity” of women of influence in the Old Testament, produced with the aim of “engaging a visual generation”. The Infographic Bible: Visualising the drama of God’s world, by Karen Sawrey, a conceptual designer formerly on the staff of Holy Trinity, Brompton, in London, has scores of such diagrams seeking to represent anything from the Old and New Testament and Deutero-canonical books, the nature and character of God, the design of Solomon’s Temple, the sayings of Jesus, St Paul’s journeys, and even the support team and contributors for this Evangelical project, which comes with a foreword by Nicky Gumbel (William Collins, £25 (£22.50); 978-0-00-755461-4)
