Bishop Rachel is looking for a committed follower of Jesus Christ who is a strategic, prayerful and imaginative leader who thinks and acts theologically. The post requires someone who is relational and able to challenge; both resilient and compassionate; someone who is emotionally intelligent and not afraid of conflict; who has an eye for process and a heart for the Kingdom of God.
We are looking for a priest who is excited about bringing the Gospel to our Benefice in a way that nurtures all that is currently good and will bring new ideas to complement and extend our mission to this historic town.
This is an opportunity to be part of a team within a busy city centre church in the heart of Scotland’s capital city. The Associate Rector’s ministry will have a significant impact on congregational life: (S)he will relate closely to the rector, be involved in mission, worship and formation and take on significant responsibilities in the congregation’s administration.
The Diocese of Manchester wishes to appoint a Chaplain to be based at the University of Salford. This is a 0.5 post for 17.5 hours per week which will be worked in a pattern by agreement but requiring flexibility.
With an in depth knowledge and understanding of the biblical and theological basis of Christian Stewardship, combined with strong leadership, staff management and communication skills you will provide the strategic overview to revitalise the role of Christian Stewardship within the Church of Scotland.
