ADEY. — On 15 August, the Revd John Douglas Adey: Vicar of Snibston (1967-72); Outwood (1972-78); Clifton (1978); Upton Priory, Macclesfield (1980-81); St Thomas’s, Hyde (1981-82); Newton in Mottram (1982-89); Rector of Roos and Garton in Holderness with Tunstall, Grimston and Hilston (1989-92); Assistant Curate of Woodchurch (1992-95); Coppenhall (1995-98); aged 85.

BLANKENSHIP. — On 15 August, the Revd Charles Everett Blankenship: Vicar of St Philip with St Bartholomew, Battersea (1978-83); Team Vicar in the Wimbledon Team Ministry (1985-91); Priest-in-Charge of Welling (1991-92); Vicar (1992-99); Priest-in-Charge of St Alban’s, South Norwood (1999-2006); Rural Dean of Croydon North (2002-06); aged 76.

MINCHEW. — On 16 August, the Revd Donald Patrick Minchew: Priest-in-Charge of Sharpness with Purton and Brookend (1980-81); Vicar (1981-95); Missions to Seamen (1981-2000); Mission to Seafarers (2000-12); Vicar of St Michael and All Angels with St James, Croydon (1995-2012); received into the RC Church in 2012; aged 70.

NOTT. — On 20 August, the Rt Revd Peter John Nott: Chaplain of Fitzwilliam House, Cambridge (1964-66); Fitzwilliam College, Cambridge (1966-69): Fellow (1967-69); Rector of Beaconsfield (1969-77); Prebendary of Wells Cathedral (1977-85); Suffragan Bishop of Taunton (1977-85); Bishop of Norwich (1985-99); Hon. Assistant Bishop of Oxford, since 1999; aged 84.

RANDALL. — On 16 August, the Revd Gareth John Randall: Director of Studies of Dame Alice Owen’s School, Potters Bar (1984-95); Director of Personnel (1995-2000); Assistant Headteacher (2000-07); NSM of King Charles the Martyr, South Mymms (1993-98); Potters Bar (1998-2007); Priest-in-Charge of St Bartholomew’s, Dinard, France, since 2007; aged 69.

WAKEFIELD. — On 19 July, the Revd David Geoffrey Wakefield: Chaplain of HM Prison Bullingdon (1993-96); HM Prison Ranby (1996-99); HM Prison Whatton (1999-03); Priest-in-charge of Car Colston with Screveton (1999-2008); Flintham (1999-2008); aged 75.

WATSON. — On 29 April, the Revd Richard Rydill Watson: Priest-in-Charge of Burton Pidsea and Humbleton with Elsternwick (1982-83); Vicar of Dormanstown (1983-87); Cotehill and Cumwhinton (1987-89); Chaplain of Harrogate District and General Hospital (1989-94); Harrogate Health Care NHS Trust (1994-99); Assistant Chaplain of Oldham NHS Trust (1999-2002); Priest-in-Charge of Shaw (1999-2007); Assistant Chaplain of the Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust (2002-07); Chaplain (2007-12); aged 71.
