New dean

THE next Dean of Kildare, and Rector of Kildare with Kilmeague and Curragh Garrison Church, in Meath & Kildare diocese, is to be the Revd Timothy Wright, Deputy Chaplain-in-Chief of the Royal Air Force since 2013, and Hon. Chaplain to the Queen since 2015. He had been an RAF Chaplain since 1998, and before that held posts in Southwell & Nottingham and Connor dioceses.

 

New archdeacons

THE next Archdeacon of Dalriada, in Connor diocese, will be the Revd Paul Dundas, Rector of Christ Church, Hillsborough Road, Lisburn, in that diocese, since 2014. He will remain Rector. Before his present post, he was Rector of St Aidan’s, Belfast, from 2010, and before that held posts in Armagh diocese.

The Revd Paul Mackness, Acting Archdeacon of St Davids, Bishop’s Chaplain, and Canon of St Davids Cathedral, since 2014, and Assistant Diocesan Warden of Ordinands since 2015, in St Davids diocese, will become Archdeacon on 22 March. He will remain Bishop’s Chaplain.

 

ADEY HUISH. The Revd Dr Louise Adey Huish, Chaplain of Myton Hamlet Hospice, Warwick (Coventry), now also NS Assistant Curate (Associate Minister) of St Mary’s, Banbury (Oxford).

ALBAN JONES. The Revd Timothy Alban Jones, Bishop’s Chaplain, and Residentiary Canon of Peterborough Cathedral (Peterborough), to be also Vice Dean.

ANGELICI. The Revd Dr Ruben Angelici, Assistant Curate of St John the Baptist with St John the Evangelist, Lincoln (Lincoln), to be Chaplain of Denstone College (Lichfield).

ARMSTRONG. The Revd John Armstrong, Team Vicar in the Deane Team Ministry, and Priest-in-Charge of St Bede’s, Bolton Le Moors (Manchester), to be Rector of Wombwell (Sheffield).

BATES. The Revd Elaine Bates, Assistant Curate (Associate Priest) of St Paul’s, Barrow in Furness, and Acting Rural Dean of Barrow, to be also Hon. Canon of Carlisle Cathedral (Carlisle).

BUTLAND. The Revd Godfrey Butland, Team Rector in the Cockermouth Area Team Ministry, to be also Hon. Canon of Carlisle Cathedral (Carlisle).

COCHRANE. The Revd Philip Cochrane, Vicar of St Mary’s, Banbury, now also Area Dean of Deddington (Oxford).

DAFFERN. The Revd Adrian Daffern, Team Rector in the Blenheim Team Ministry, and Assistant Archdeacon of Dorchester, now also Area Dean of Woodstock (Oxford).

ECCLESTONE. The Revd Gary Ecclestone, Vicar of Hanslope with Castlethorpe, now also Area Dean of Newport (Oxford), remaining Hon. Canon of Ho, Ghana (Ho, West Africa).

GREADY. The Revd Andrew Gready, Chaplain of St John and St Philip, The Hague, the Netherlands (Europe), to be Vicar of Clifton (York).

HALLAM. The Revd Dr Nicholas Hallam, NSM in the Loughrigg Team Ministry, and of Hawkshead and Low Wray with Sawrey and Rusland and Satterthwaite, to be also Hon. Canon of Carlisle Cathedral (Carlisle).

HARDY. The Revd Alison Hardy, Assistant Curate of North Kernow, and Assistant Curate of Kilkhampton with Morwenstow, to be Interim Assistant Curate (Associate Priest) of Launceston (Truro).

HARWOOD. The Revd Anna Harwood, Assistant Curate (Associate Minister) of All Saints’, Wokingham, now Vicar of Ruscombe and Twyford with Hurst (Oxford).

KENNARD. The Revd Mark Kennard, formerly Priest-in-Charge of St Luke’s, Shireoaks (Southwell & Nottingham), to be house-for-duty Priest-in-Charge of the Digby Group (Lincoln).

LEWIS. The Revd Professor Andrew Lewis, Assistant Curate (Associate Priest) in the North Cornwall Cluster of Churches, to be also Prebendary of St Endellion (Truro).

PEACOCK. The Revd Kate Peacock, Rector of Hormead, Wyddial, An­­stey, Brent Pelham and Meesden, Rural Dean of Buntingford, Hertford Archdeaconry Bishop’s Adviser for Women’s Ministry, and Dean of Women’s Ministry, to be Church Growth Officer for St Albans Archdeaconry (St Albans).

PRENTIS. The Revd Dr Sharon Prentis, Assistant Curate (Associate Priest) of St John the Evangelist, Ilford (Chelmsford), and Lecturer of St Mellitus College (London), to be Intercultural Mission Enabler and Dean of BAME Affairs (Birmingham).

SAMPSON. The Revd Julian Sampson, Vicar of St Michael’s, Handsworth, and Priest-in-Charge of Bishop Latimer with All Saints, Birmingham, to be Vicar of Small Heath, and Diocesan Catholic Lead on Interfaith Work (Birmingham).
