The sermon didn’t hold everybody’s attention
Bishop Rachel is looking for a committed follower of Jesus Christ who is a strategic, prayerful and imaginative leader who thinks and acts theologically. The post requires someone who is relational and able to challenge; both resilient and compassionate; someone who is emotionally intelligent and not afraid of conflict; who has an eye for process and a heart for the Kingdom of God.
The churches of the Mid Trent Benefice each have their own styles of worship but increasingly we are working together as a Team, intent on identifying and implementing a range of small but high impact sustainable initiatives to take us to the next level in our spiritual and pastoral development.
‘Powerful and majestic’ - Pevsner
If you are ready for the challenge of developing the Cathedral’s liturgy by joining a small, dedicated team of clergy and laity, we would like to hear from you.
The PCCs, Patrons and Bishop are looking for an experienced parish priest who will continue the excellent ministry and mission of the church and who will be a part of the transitioning of a 4th year curate into their next role. We seek somebody with confident priestly leadership and who will work collaboratively with clergy colleagues, ecumenical partners and will form wider partnerships and connections in order to promote ministry and mission and who will take an active role in shaping Wensley Deanery.
