THE Revd Mark Standen, Rector of Angmering, since 1999, Rural Dean of Arundel and Bognor, since 2008, and an Hon. Canon of Chichester Cathedral, and the Revd David Twinley, Vicar of Arundel with Tortington and South Stoke, since 2016, have been appointed Acting Archdeacons of Chichester.
Before his present appointments, Mr Standen served his curacy in Rochester diocese, having worked as a barrister before his ordination in 1995. Mr Twinley has served in Chichester diocese since 2003, including as Rural Dean of Petworth from 2010-16.
The Ven. Douglas McKittrick retires on 30 June.
