BYWORTH. — On 31 August, the Revd Christopher Henry Briault Byworth: Lecturer of Oak Hill Theo­logical College (1970-75); Team Rector in the Thetford Team Min­istry (1975-79); Warden of Cranmer Hall, Durham (1979-83); Team Rector in the Fazakerley Team Ministry (1983-90); Area Dean of St Helens (1990-2000); Priest-in-Charge in the St Helens Team Min­istry (1990-94); Team Rector (1994-2004); Hon. Canon of Liv­erpool Cathedral (1999-2004); aged 78.

CAYTON. — On 23 September, the Revd John Cayton: Vicar of St Catherine’s, Burnley (1963-72); Marton (1972-87); St Peter’s, Fleet­wood (1987-97); Missions to Seamen Chaplain (1987-97); 85.

DIXON. — On 7 September, the Revd David Dixon: Vicar of St Mary’s, Westfield, Workington (1961-68); Warden of Rydal Hall (1968-84); Priest-in-Charge of Rydal (1978-84); Hon. Canon of Carlisle Cathedral (1984-85); aged 98.

STONE. — On 3 September, the Revd Michael Graham Stone: NSM of St Paul and St Peter, Chichester (1983-95); St Paul with St Wilfrid, Chichester (1995-98); aged 84.

STRATTON. — On 27 September, the Revd John Jefferies Stratton: Assistant Curate of Stevenage, in charge of St Peter’s Broadwater (1960-65); Rector of Cottered with Broadfield and Throcking (1965-82); Rural Dean of Buntingford (1975-82); Vicar of St Mary’s, South Mimms and Potters Bar (1982-84); Potters Bar (1985-94); Priest-in-Charge of Flamstead (1994-96); aged 90.
