The Bishop of Chichester is seeking to appoint an Archdeacon of Chichester. The Archdeacon will play a pivotal role within a dynamic senior team which serves a large and demanding Diocese. The Archdeaconry is largely rural but also incorporates the City of Chichester and the coastal towns of Worthing, Littlehampton and Bognor Regis where there is considerable social deprivation.
The church is lively and active. It has grown a contemporary worship service attracting younger families and children alongside its traditional service, and is committed to seeing both flourishing and growing. The PCC will welcome a priest who will lead the growth of the church by developing fresh approaches to every-member ministry, with clergy and lay together, in line with the emerging strategy of this young Diocese.
A vacancy exists for a priest-in-charge (half-time) of the Parish of
Moviddy Union, who will serve also as a half-time Healthcare Chaplain in Cork University Hospital, the Bon Secours Hospital, and Marymount University Hospital and Hospice, all of which are in Cork. Moviddy Union is a small parish to the west and north-west of Cork City, where the faithful parishioners are confident in their ministry, outreach and engagement with the Diocese and local community.
