The Visitation, 1518-19, by Sebastiano del Piombo, which is reproduced in Michelangelo and Sebastiano by Matthias Wivel (with contributions from others) (National Gallery Co., £35 (£31.50); 978-1-85709-609-5), a groundbreaking book on the rela­tionship between the two Renaissance artists. The book, published in connection with the current National Gallery exhibition (Arts, 19 May), is lavishly illustrated with images of works in the show, as well as others for comparison
