New deans

THE next Dean of St Anne’s Cathedral, Belfast, in the dioceses of Down & Dromore and Connor, is to be the Ven. Stephen Forde, Archdeacon of Dalriada, in Connor diocese, since 2006, and Rector of Larne and Inver, and of Glynn with Raloo, in that diocese, since 1999.

The next Dean of St Mary’s Cathedral, Limerick, in Limerick, Ardfert, Aghadoe, Killaloe, Kilfenora, Clonfert, Kilmacduagh & Emly diocese, is to be the Revd Niall Sloane, Rector of Holy Trinity, Killiney, in Dublin & Glendalough diocese, since 2012, and Canon of St Patrick’s Cathedral, Dublin, since 2015, He had previously held curacies in Connor and Dublin & Glendalough dioceses.


Dean steps down

THE Very Revd Alan Marley, Dean of Cloyne, and Rector of St Colman’s Cathedral, Cloyne, with Inch, Corkbeg, Midleton, and Gurranekennefeake, in Cork, Cloyne & Ross diocese, since 2002, and Diocesan Director of Ordinands since 2005, is to be Chaplain of University College, Cork, in that diocese.


New acting dean

THE Revd Anthony Macpherson, Sub-Dean of Wakefield Cathedral, in Leeds diocese, since 2015, and Canon Missioner there since 2007, is to be Acting Dean, retaining his present posts.


New archdeacon

THE next Archdeacon of Killala and Achonry, in Tuam, Kilala & Achonry diocese, is to be the Revd Stephen McWhirter, Rector of Kilmoremoy, Castleconnor, Easkey, Kilglass and Straid, in that diocese, since 2015.


BALDWIN. The Revd Jonathan Baldwin, Chaplain of Gatwick Airport, and Prebendary of Chichester Cathedral, to be also Assistant Curate (Associate Vicar) of St Peter’s, West Green (Chichester).

BEVAN. The Revd Rebecca Bevan, Rector of Aldermaston and Woolhampton, now Vicar of St George and St John, Newbury (Oxford).

BLISS. The Revd David Bliss, formerly Vicar of All Saints’, Rotherham, and Hon. Canon of Sheffield Cathedral (Sheffield), now Canon Emeritus.

BROWN. The Revd Murray Brown, Vicar of Norton Lees, to be also Assistant Curate of Norton, of Greenhill, and of Woodseats (Sheffield).


BUTT. The Revd Catherine Butt, house-for-duty Assistant Curate of Bletchley, now Vicar of Water Eaton (Oxford).
