FOR the Edith Cavell website, Nick Miller seeks to identify the building in this watercolour painted by Edith Cavell, and dated 18 February 1903. If painted from life, its location might be between St Pancras, where she was working as a nurse at the Poor Law Institution, and Rickmansworth, where she took walks. The picture was bought at a second-hand dealer’s in Sheringham in 1965 for 1s. Mr Miller can be contacted at The Old Schoolhouse, The Common, Swardeston, Norwich NR14 8EB, by email at nickmiller906@btinternet.com, or by phone on 01508 578468.
