This is an exciting time for us, as the North Wiltshire Mission Area (NWMA) comes into being. As Mission Enabler for NWMA, you will have an opportunity to work with the Vicar of Malmesbury and Upper Avon, and with the other incumbents in the Area, to set the direction of travel and help bring some of the ideas that the Holy Spirit is already sowing among us to fruition. We hope that you may be the person who God has in mind to come and partner with us in growing our evangelism and discipleship.
The successful candidate would enhance the worshipping life and outreach of a community accustomed to a high standard of traditional music. But we have a wide spectrum of worship needs so the director would also be willing to explore informal/contemporary music styles.
We seek to appoint a skilled musician who is an aspiring communicator, will work collaboratively to develop the Cathedral’s music and take the lead in recruiting and training the Choral Scholars and the Junior Girls’ Choir.
The Cherwell Valley Benefice, a team of six rural parish churches and a church community in a growing urban village development, wishes to appoint a Team Rector able to guide us in our desire to deepen our Christian faith and develop the mission of our parishes.
