Notice board: Prayer and spirituality

by
17 November 2017

DOMINIC WHITE wants to rehabilitate Christian cosmology, a tradition that died out in the Middle Ages, but which he believes will help modern Christians to reconnect with nature and themselves. In rediscovering this tradition, he argues that it can shed light on some apparently obscure biblical passages, and cab also provide resources for today. This search for The Lost Knowledge of Christ may help to provide within the Christian tradition what many find in other religions, New Age practices, and so on (Liturgical Press, £18.99 (£17.10); 978-0-8146-8269-2).

Celtic Daily Prayer Book One: The journey begins (978-0-00-812302-4) and Celtic Daily Prayer Book Two: Farther up and farther in (978-0-00-810019-3) offer, from the Northumbria Community, liturgies for morning, midday and evening prayers, and for compline and communion services. The material in Volume One has been previously published; that in Volume Two is new (William Collins, £20 (£18) each).
