FOR many years, Canon Richard Norburn (Obituary, 1 December) chaired the steering committee of FLAME (Family Life and Marriage Education) in the diocese of St Edmundsbury & Ipswich, of which I was a member. I much admired his imagination and flair, which made positive things happen. One was a day at the cathedral on “Marriage and Family Life”, at which the principal speaker was the Revd David Gamble, who subsequently became the President of the Methodist Conference.
