CHALLIS. — On 14 June, the Revd Douglas James Challis: Chaplain of Summer Fields School, Oxford (1958-60); Assistant Chaplain of Stowe School (1960-63); St Bees School (1963-72); Reeds School, Cob­­ham (1973-81); Crowhurst Chris­­tian Healing Centre (2005-06); aged 95.

DUXBURY. — On 11 July, the Revd James Campbell Duxbury: Vicar of Tittensor (1965-70); Good Shepherd with St John the Evangelist, West Bromwich (1970-75); Wellington with Eyton (1975-85); Padiham (1985-2001); Hon. Canon of Black­burn Cathedral (1997-2001); aged 84.

HALL. — On 20 May, the Revd William Cameron Hall: Chaplain to Arts and Recreation in the North-East of England (1968-2005); Vicar of Grindon (1971-80); Hon. Canon of Durham Cathedral since 1984; Senior Chaplain of the Actors’ Church Union (1989-2004); Hon. Senior Research Fellow of Sunder­land University since 1998; Hon. Fellow of St Chad’s College, Dur­ham, since 2009; aged 77.

MORLEY. — On 4 July, the Revd Gillian Dorothy Morley: Deaconess of St Swithun’s, Hither Green, Lewi­sham (1970-82); Sturry with Ford­wich and Westbere with Hersden (1982-87); aged 96.

NIXON. — On 3 July, the Revd John David Nixon: Team Vicar of St Andrew’s, St George’s, St John’s and St Peter’s, Rugby (1983-86); Bicester with Bucknell, Caversfield and Launton (1986-98); in the US (1998-2017); aged 79.

PICKARD. — On 4 July, the Revd Frank Eustace Pickard: Assistant Master of St Dunstan’s School, Lon­don (1960-63); King’s School, Peter­borough, and Hon. Minor Canon of Peterborough Cathedral (1963-72); Curate-in-Charge of Newborough (1967-68); Vicar (1968-72); Rector of Isham with Pytchley (1972-76); Abington (1976-96); Hon. Canon of Peterborough Cathedral (1986-2002); Priest-in-Charge of Weedon Lois with Plumpton and Moreton Pinkney and Wappenham (1996-2002); aged 86.
