The Bishop of Chichester is seeking to appoint an Archdeacon of Chichester. The Archdeacon will play a pivotal role within a dynamic senior team which serves a large and demanding Diocese. The Archdeaconry is largely rural but also incorporates the City of Chichester and the coastal towns of Worthing, Littlehampton and Bognor Regis where there is considerable social deprivation.

We are looking for a priest who is excited about bringing the Gospel to our Benefice in a way that nurtures all that is currently good and will bring new ideas to complement and extend our mission to this historic town.
You will have primary oversight of one of our newly paired churches, in partnership with existing ministers
We need a clergy member of our Mission & Pastoral Committee, which helps the Church deploy its clergy and buildings in the most effective way to serve the needs of parishes. The Committee meets up to ten times a year and its main work is to consider representations that arise out of diocesan proposals for parish reorganisation and in relation to clergy housing and glebe.
