Scarlet tide

10 November 2017

More than 5000 hand-crafted red poppies, knitted and crotcheted by volunteers, were cascaded over the tower and walls of St Mary’s, Walsham-le-Willows, last week in the run up to Remembrance. The project was led by Jan Hall and Fiona Glover, who is the British Legion representative for the Suffolk village. There are also 40 poppies on display inside the church commemorating the 40 men from Walsham who died in the First and Second World Wars
