BUTTON. — On 15 September, the Revd David Frederick Button: Perpetual Curate of Holland Fen with Chapel Hill (1960-64); Surfleet (1964-71); Rector of Belton (1971-78); Vicar of Barkston with Syston (1972-78); Curate-in-Charge of Honington (1973-78); Rector of Gunhouse with Burringham (1978-82); Priest-in-Charge of Great with Little Hockham with Wretham with Illington (1982-84); Priest-in-Charge of Shropham with Larling and Snetterton (1982-84); Vicar of Hockham with the Shropham Group (1984-91); aged 88.

JONES. — On 25 September, the Ven. Thomas Hughie Jones: Principal of Hind Leys College, Shepshed (1975-81); Rector of Church Langton with Tur Langton and Thorpe Langton (1980-85); Leicester Diocesan Adult Education Officer (1981-85); Hon. Canon of Leicester Cathedral (1983-86); Rector of Church Langton with Tur Langton, Thorpe Langton and Stonton Wyville (1985-86); Archdeacon of Loughborough (1986-92); aged 89.

LAWRENCE. — On 4 September, the Revd Norman Lawrence: NSM of Holy Trinity, Hounslow (1980-88); Holy Trinity with St Paul and St Mary, Hounslow (1988-2014); aged 71.

WASHINGTON. — On 21 September, the Revd Patrick Leonard Washington: Team Vicar of Staveley and Barrow Hill (1974-83); Vicar of St Philip’s, Norbury (1983-2010); Rural Dean of Croydon North (1990-99); Hon. Canon of Southwark Cathedral (2001-10): aged 72.
