RILEY. — On 13 December, The Revd William Riley: Vicar of Prestolee (1957-62); Curate-in-Charge of Ringley (1960-62); Rector of Tarleton (1962-92); Rural Dean of Leyland (1984-89); Hon. Canon of Blackburn Cathedral (1990-92); aged 92.

SECOMBE. — On 8 December, the Revd Frederick Thomas Secombe: Chaplain of St Woolos’s Hospital, Newport (1949-52); Vicar of Llan­arth with Clytha, Llansantffraed and Bryngwyn (1952-54); Rector of Machen with Rudry (1954-59); Vicar of St Peter’s, Cockett, Swansea (1959-69); Rector of St Mary’s, Hanwell (1969-83); Rural Dean of Ealing West (1978-82); Prebendary of St Paul’s Cathedral (1981-83); aged 97.

WILBY. — On 18 December, the Revd Timothy David Wilby: Chaplain to the Forces (Army) (1986-89); Vicar of All Saints’, Chorley (1989-95); St Leonard’s, Penwortham (1995-2000); Team Rector in the Fellside Team (2000-07); Priest-in-Charge of St George’s, Chorley (2007-11); Vicar since 2011; Area Dean of Chorley since 2011; Priest-in-Charge of Christ Church, Charnock Richard (2011-13);
