New archdeacon

THE next Archdeacon of Gower, in Swansea & Brecon diocese, is to be the Revd Jonathan Davies, Chaplain of Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service since 2005, and Vicar of Llwynderw, and Canon Residentiary of Brecon Cathedral, in that diocese, since 2015. He will retain his existing posts except the Fire Service chaplaincy. Before his present appointments, he had served in the diocese since 1999, and in St Davids diocese from 1996 to 1999.


A’HERNE-SMITH. The Revd Mary A’Herne-Smith, Assistant Curate of St Mary Magdalene’s, Sutton in Ashfield (Southwell & Nottingham), to be Team Vicar in the Fosse Team Ministry (Leicester).

BAILEY. The Revd Patricia Bailey, Priest-in-Charge of Ibstock with heather (Leicester), to be Rector.

The Revd James Craig, Gateshead Community Arts Chaplain in the parishes of Bensham and Gateshead, and Team Vicar in the Gateshead Team Ministry (Durham), to be Chaplain of Guy’s Campus, King’s College, London, and Assistant Curate (Associate Minister) of St George the Martyr with St Alphege and St Jude, Southwark (Southwark).
