Advent letters

by
02 December 2016

ADVENT daily reading is provided by the Principal of Westcott House, Chris Chivers, in his book Letters to Jonny: Journeying to Bethlehem by different roads, published by ISPCK (978-81-8465-559-9), and available from USPG for £10 (cheques payable to USPG, to: USPG, Harling House, 47-51 Great Suffolk Street, London SE1 0BS). The author’s meditations take the form of letters to his nine-year-old son, and the subjects with which they deal emerge from visits to Tanzania, South Africa, the UAE, India, Pakistan, Kenya, and Sri Lanka. Each piece is followed by a “reply” from the author’s friend Anjum Anwar, the former Dialogue Development of exChange at Blackburn Cathedral. Each letter includes a prayer.
