About 60 people from the UK travelled to Brussels on Wednesday
to take part in protests against the proposed Transatlantic Trade
and Investment Partnership (TTIP) between the United States and the
European Union. Protesters argue that the deal would be a
"Trojan-horse treaty", restricting the rights of individual
countries to legislate against articles such as foodstuffs if that
was seen to block free trade. Negotiators are currently looking at
details of the proposed deal.
