Third-generation Templeton is appointed president

THE granddaughter of the late Sir John Templeton, Heather Templeton Dill, has been appointed president of his foundation by the board of trustees. Sir John, who died in 2008, established the John Templeton Foundation in 1987 to support what he deemed the “big questions” of science, religion, and human purpose. Before her appointment, Mrs Dill was executive liaison officer to the former president, her late father. She served as a trustee of the foundation from 1997 to 2003 and 2009 to 2015.
