Atrocity: Juda Widaski, a 96-year-old survivor, inside a tent on
the site of the former Nazi concentration and extermination camp at
Auschwitz-Birkenau, near Oswiecim, Poland, on Tuesday. A total of
300 former Auschwitz prisoners took part in ceremonies to
commemorate the 70th anniversary of the liberation of the camp by
Soviet soldiers. This year, 70 candles designed by the sculptor
Anish Kapoor to mark the anniversary were lit at events at selected
Holocaust Memorial Day commemorations
