New archdeacon
THE next Archdeacon of Hackney, in the diocese of London, is to
be the Revd Elizabeth Adekunle, Chaplain of St
John's College, Cambridge, since 2011. She was formerly Interim
Priest of St Luke's, Homerton, in east London. She succeeds the
Ven. Rachel Treweek, appointed Bishop of Gloucester.
Archdeacon retires
THE Ven. Christopher Long, Archdeacon of Ferns,
Waterford, Lismore and Cashel, in Cashel, Waterford, Lismore,
Ossory, Ferns, & Leighlin diocese, since 2008, and Rector of
Enniscorthy with Clone, Clonmore, Monart and Templescobin, in the
same diocese, since 2005, will retire on 27 July.
