THORNE. —On 21 August, Dom Columba Thorne (the Revd Selwyn Thorne): Assistant Curate of St Barnabas’s, Woodford Green (1938-42); Assistant Minister of St Michael’s Conventional District, Beckton (1942-44); Chaplain to the Forces (1944-45); received into the Roman Catholic Church (1945); Professed (Priest) in the Order of St Benedict (1958); aged 101.
