New archdeacon
THE next Archdeacon of Stow and Lindsey in Lincoln diocese, from
the autumn, is to be the Revd Mark Steadman,
Chaplain to the Bishop of Southwark. Before his present
appointment, he was Area Dean of Bermondsey and acting Area Dean of
Camberwell in the diocese of Southwark.
New archdeacon and associate archdeacon
THE next Archdeacon of London, with responsibility for the Two
Cities Area, in London diocese, from 1 January, is to be
the Ven. Luke Miller, Archdeacon of Hampstead, in
that diocese, since 2010. Before his present appointment, he was
Priest-in-Charge of Holy Trinity, Winchmore Hill, and before that
Vicar of St Mary's, Tottenham, and Area Dean of East Haringey. He
will be assisted, as Associate Archdeacon, by the Revd
Rosemary Lain-Priestley, Dean of Women's Ministry in the
Area since 2006.
New acting archdeacon
The Revd Timothy Marwood, Vicar of Petersham
since 2011, and Hon. Canon of Southwark Cathedral since 2008, is to
be Acting Archdeacon of Wandsworth, in Southwark diocese.
