TELEVISION: Sunday 10am (BBC1) Sunday Morning Live The actor David Oyelowo talks to Sian Williams about films and faith.

5.30pm (BBC1) Songs of Praise John Craven discovers why bringing in the harvest this year has a special meaning for a family in Dorset.

7pm (BBC4) Arvo Pärt/Robert Wilson: The lost paradise A documentary celebrating Pärt’s 80th birthday, examining the spiritual themes behind his music.

Tuesday 9pm (BBC3) Reggie Yates: Race riots USA The actor visits Ferguson, Missouri, after the shooting of an unarmed black teenager by a police officer, to ask if the polarised community can be healed.

Wednesday 8pm (BBC2) Welcome to the Mosque The film-maker Robb Leech visits Europe’s biggest Muslim community, in London’s East End.

 

RADIO: Saturday 8pm (R4) Archive on 4: Kindertransport Dr David Cesarani interviews some of the refugee Jewish children who were brought to Britain from Nazi Germany between 1938 and 1940.

Sunday 8.10am (R4) Sunday Worship A mass from St Aloysius’s RC Church, Glasgow, to mark the Pope’s visit to the United States.

Wednesday 3.30pm (R3) Choral Evensong live from Lincoln Cathedral.

6.30pm (R4)A Beginner’s Guide to Pakistan Sami Shah explores Pakistan’s political history, from its foundation to the present day (1/2).
