GORDON.— On 8 August, the Rt Revd Archibald Ronald McDonald Gordon: Chaplain of Cuddesdon Theological College (1955-59); Vicar of St Peter’s, Birmingham (1959-67); Lecturer of Queen’s College, Birmingham (1960-62); Canon Residentiary of Birmingham Cathedral (1967-71); Vicar of St Mary the Virgin with St Cross and St Peter-in-the-East, Oxford (1971-75); Bishop of Portsmouth (1975-84); Chairman of the ACCM (1976-83); Bishop at Lambeth (1984-91); Assistant Bishop of Southwark (1984-91); Bishop to the Forces (1985-90); Canon Residentiary and Sub-Dean of Christ Church, Oxford (1991-96); Hon. Assistant Bishop of Oxford since 1996; aged 88.

GRAY. — On 4 August, the Revd David Bryan Gray: Vicar of Thurlby (1965-67); Curate-in-Charge of Ropsley with Little Humby, of Sapperton with Braceby, and of Somerby with Great Humby (1967-75); Rector of Trimley (1975-82); Orford with Sudbourne, Chillesford, Butley and Iken (1982-94); aged 87.

JONES. — On 10 July, the Revd Emile Conrad Modupe Kojo Jones: Assistant Chaplain and Lecturer of Fourah Bay College, Sierra Leone, (1981-85); Chaplain in Heidelberg (1986-97); CMS Mission Partner (1997-2003); Assistant Curate of St Mary Magdalene’s, Holloway (1997-04); Assistant Chaplain of the Whittington Hospital NHS Trust (2004-15); Hon. Assistant Curate of St Peter’s, Walthamstow (2005-15); Tollington (2005-15); aged 65.

SUTCH. — On 13 August, the Revd Christopher Lang Sutch: Vicar of St Oswald’s, Bedminster Down (1953-58); Hanham with Hanham Abbots (1958-74); Rector of Brinkworth with Dauntsey (1974-86); Rural Dean of Malmesbury (1979-85); Hon. Canon of Bristol Cathedral (1982-86); Hon. Assistant Curate of East Bristol (1986-91); aged 94.
